Hi, I’m Cindy Frazer and I absolutely love cruising. In the picture above I’m the blonde on on the end and I’m next to my husband, Larry, my best friend since high school, Suzette, and Suzette’s husband, Cal. We always have a fun time together.
Although this photo may look like it has a backdrop, it’s the real deal. We were vacationing on the Enchantment of the Seas from the Royal Caribbean cruise line.
I’d like to start here by telling you a little bit about myself. I’ve been cruising since the young age of 13. I distinctly remember being allowed to leave early from a day of school in order to make it to Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth II in time. Maybe that’s why I’ve grown to love cruising so much!
In high school, my parents took my two brothers, my little sister, and me on a two week cruise to the Caribbean. That cruise is the real reason I love cruising so much. It felt like I was vacationing for a month! As reluctant as I was at first to be gone for two weeks and away from my friends, I ended up not wanting to get off the ship! It was a great experience and I made a lot a new friends who I managed to keep in touch with for a long time.
For my college graduation my parents brought me on another cruise with our family, and my boyfriend (future husband, Larry) joined us. It was Norwegian Cruise Line’s namesake, the Norway. It was the first cruise Larry had ever been on, and twenty years later it became the first cruise we brought our daughter, Brielle, on!
In my twenties I began to cruise on my own, using organizations like Singles World to be able to room with other women close to my age so I could save on fares but still get to vacation! I met a good friend on there and she and I took another cruise together while Larry stayed home to work.
Through the years I’ve begun to cruise for every occasion, my honeymoon, anniversaries, family birthdays and celebrations, holidays, graduations, and just for the fun of it. I am currently at 25 cruises and counting. I love cruising and pretty soon I hope to be on cruise #50!
I encourage everyone to embrace the relaxing yet fun atmosphere a cruise has to offer. What better place to stay than a hotel on water?
